What you’ll need

Dr Dray washes her face and applies a hydrating serum before opening the packet. Keep your own preparation simple: cleanse, pat dry and use a familiar hydrating layer if you need one. This is not the time to stack unfamiliar exfoliants beneath a long-wear mask. Have clean hands and a place to put the backing films before handling the slippery pieces.

2. Fit the lower and upper pieces
Begin the hydrogel mask application by peeling away the backing and positioning the lower piece around the mouth. Support it while placing the upper section around the eyes and nose. Press gently from the middle toward the edges to help both sections sit flat. Avoid pulling hard on the hydrogel. Dr Dray has a loose nose flap, so the mask does not need to fit every facial contour perfectly.

3. Check the fit while it settles
Stay upright for the first part of the wear time if the mask is sliding. Dr Dray checks after about half an hour and finds that the chin area has begun to adhere more firmly. Press a lifting edge back down gently rather than stretching it across a gap. Remove the mask if it causes burning or irritation; keeping it on longer is not a goal in itself.
4. Follow the label and watch it turn clearer
The package shown in the video calls for several hours of wear until the mask becomes transparent. Dr Dray’s forehead is clear at her three-hour check, while overlapping areas remain opaque. Follow the directions on your own packet and judge comfort throughout. Her test is during the day; the footage of lying down is a fit test, not proof that she wore it through a full night.
5. Peel off slowly and assess the result
Finish this hydrating face mask routine by lifting an edge and removing the mask gently. Dr Dray removes hers after about four and a half hours and reports that her skin feels moisturized. That is her individual result, not a promise of the same finish for everyone. Keep the rest of your routine familiar and use sunscreen during the day. Skip another treatment if your skin feels tight, sore or irritated afterward.
